Welcome from the Northbrook Community Club!
The Northbrook Community Club is a non-profit social organization that welcomes both new and established residents of Northbrook. The club's purpose is to foster friendship among its members and to help them assimilate into the civic and social activities of the community.
The cornerstone of the club is our interest group program. Interest groups are small, focused "clubs-within-a-club" that concentrate on one particular activity. There is usually a chairperson who coordinates the group's activities and makes sure announcements about them get into our monthly newsletter. Dues-paying members may join as many as their interests and time allow.
The Northbrook Community Club also sponsors several club-wide events each year, including the Open House/Sign-Up Party and an annual dinner party. In the past, we have also had Halloween parties, ice skating parties, luncheons, book reviews and decorating workshops--events planned based on membership interest.
As our club name suggests, we also believe in community participation and support. We have participated in the Northbrook Shopping Plaza Merchants' Association Sidewalk Sale, the "Light Up Northbrook" campaign, and the Northbrook Community Relations new resident event. In addition, we have made contributions to the library, the Northfield Township Food Pantry, and the YMCA.
